He had brown hair and gray eyes.

School: He attended Trinity College and Magdalen College.

Occupation: Writer! He was a writer of many genres, including playwright, novelist (though he only wrote one novel in his lifetime), and a poet. He was also an editor.

Here are some fun facts!

  • He lectured in the US, Canada, and London in 1879. The purpose of his lectures was to teach aesthetic values.
  • He is regarded as one of the greatest playwrights of the Victorian Era.
  • His grandson wrote a biography about him (there are 9 biographies written about him)
